Next Thursday hubby and I are off to Dubai / UAE for a long weekend in the desert. I am been reading my Time Out guide in preparation. Hubby has been there before, but this will be my first time in the Middle East. I am really looking forward to the experience (and the warm weather). His parents lived for a while in Sharjah, another Emirate near Dubai, so I am looking forward to seeing Shajah as well. If anyone has any good tips on where we should visit in the UAE I am all ears! The flights there and back are via Amsterdam and are both overnight flights and leave at stupid hours of the day/night...that equals not enough sleep for me (I suffer terribly from jetlag, ask my husband how cranky I am!)
